Escapism is a series of audiovisual works that explore the visual and acoustic phenomena created by the use of strobe lights and loud sound. A voice instructs the recipients to close their eyes and look inside their eyelids. This controlled environment allows for a journey through different hallucinatory states. The recipients are invited to explore the properties of their visual and auditory senses under extreme conditions. escapism pt. I was premiered at SOSO Space Bern. Escapism II was exhibited at the backslash festival in Zurich.
